Hotel Sales Manager

Hotel / Position Summary

The BRAND NEW Holiday Inn Express Plano/Richardson is currently seeking a Sales Manager  for our 129 room hotel. We will be opening in less than 3 months. We also will have a total of 1000 square feet of meeting space. The Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting companies within a 6 mile radius of the hotel to build relationships . This manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients in order to produce business results. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed hotel revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Produce revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, making presentations, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
  • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers.
  • Participate in daily business review meeting, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
  • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
  • Maintains accurate records of sales activities, results, reporting and correspondence in Sales Pro
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, be creative & energetic
Requirements                
  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
  • Must have at least 5 years experience working in a Sales Management role. 
  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • IHG systems experience a plus (Opera, Merlin, Meeting Planner)
